THE ROLE: Digital Project Manager

Fix Term Contact: 6-12 Months

Location: Preferably Cape Town based, whilst mostly working remotely. 

We are looking for an experienced Digital Project Manager who enjoys juggling a portfolio of client accounts and managing multiple projects. Someone who has solid experience in digital media and marketing for B2B with a strong client service approach, has superhuman planning and coordination abilities, can build close relationships with clients and partners and thrive within a fast-paced environment. Throughout the role, this individual will serve as liaison between the client and various teams and facilitate communication between teams.

You will form a pivotal part of the business by:

Being the orchestrator, supporting teams and partners through the end-to-end management of the accounts as well as the process of delivering projects on time.

Being the ‘glue’ between the team and client, managing expectations and driving alignment and synergy throughout the entire engagement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience and proven track record of previous Account Management, Project Management, and Digital Marketing experience.
  •  Relevant degree or diploma.

  • Project management software proficiency – experience in using project management software to schedule, plan, and document project data and progress.
  • Interpersonal skills – experience working with stakeholders at varying levels and building new client relationships while developing and maintaining current relationships.
  • Analytical skills – ability to anticipate potential problems and risks that may occur with a prospective project before they occur.
  • Problem-solving skills – team conflicts, budgetary restraints, and other obstacles that can often hamper the completion or implementation of a new project.
  • Time and cost management – Must adhere to the agreed-upon time and budget restrictions established in the signed project contract.

Responsibilities

  • Taking the lead role in project planning and implementation
  • Plan and manage internal and external workflow processes for up to 4 projects simultaneously.
  • Effective onboarding and coordination of internal teams, 3rd party service providers and partners to ensure client delivery and project success.
  • Setting up and managing of CMS, CRM, and project management platforms.
  • Draft meeting agendas and meeting notes
  • Assign and schedule project tasks
  • Schedule & lead project meetings
  • QA all project deliverables
  • Build project reports
  • Assess and evaluate project success
  • Be proactive and rectify issues at the project outset before they become a problem.
  • Equip oneself with a strong knowledge and understanding of a client’s brand, industry and products and strategy.
  • Be closely attuned to client needs and be able to distil this to the team for project optimization and to the business for upsell opportunities.
  • Build relationships with clients, retain and grow accounts through the development of strong relationships with key decision-makers
